It is suggested to amend the Land Code of Ukraine and the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, as well as the laws "On Nature-Reserve Fund of Ukraine", "On the Animal World" and "On Fishing Industry, Commercial Fishing, and Protection of Aquatic Bioresources".
Despite the necessity to improve protection and use of nature-reserve funds several remarks on the part of the Ministry of Justice were received.
Particularly, suggested amendments to article 157 of the Land Code of Ukraine and article 20 of the Law "On Nature-Reserve Fund of Ukraine" need to be reconsidered.
It was stressed that the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, NGOs of ecological nature are against resubordination of all biosphere and nature reserves, as well as national parks to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
The National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine believes that the bill requires interdepartmental settlement of separate issues.
By results of consideration, the Committee members upheld the bill and made a decision to recommend the Verkhovna Rada to adopt it in the first reading.
